There are about 52 weeks a year and every week, we post 5 full-resolution galleries, meaning there are around 260 Reportage galleries a year for you to enjoy. The intention behind this website has always been about documenting the outliers of cycling and inspiring you, the readership’s next build and bike ride. Over the years, we’ve tapped into a wonderful resource of talented raconteurs and photographers. Hosting their work is both a privilege and an honor we cherish.
With such a massive image database, these Photographic Year In Review posts provide reflection, aspiration, and motivation to continue, to push on, and keep doing what we do best: tell stories and share photos.
Read on below for a short synopsis of this year with a massive gallery of inspirational photos from the past twelve months…
2021 felt like a light at the end of the tunnel. After the pandemic’s uncertainty in 2020, there were things to look forward to. A vaccine was on the way, bike races started up again, and even a few tradeshows returned to the bike industry circuit. Things began to open back up, yet slowly and surely, the world continued to battle the Coronavirus.
Over here in Santa Fe, we got a few fun trips in before the pandemic numbers once again began to spike, and our talented contributors delivered exceptional work that aided in this constant slow-drip of stoke we try to provide.
One of the things we’re most proud of is the number of exceptional film photographic pieces we host, many of which are by ever-talented female photographers like Rue and Dominique, whose pieces this year moved us to literal tears of joy.
With our merger with The Pro’s Closet, and the hiring of a full-time editor, Josh Weinberg, we’re continuing to look forward into 2022 with aspirations of photographic greatness. We’ve got trips on the books, big projects unfolding, and a large backlog of content we can’t wait to share with you.
To all of the contributors that have made The Radavist such a vibrant place, thank you! To the readership who engages with this content, we wouldn’t be here without you!
