SOLD OUT! The Radavist and Fairends Cotton Camp Hat

It’s been over a year since our last run of these hats! I’ve known Ben from Fairends since the Freeman Transport days (R.I.P.) and I’ve always loved his made in the USA products. Camp hats are great. Also called twill caps, they’re a staple for any wardrobe. These camp hats are the blackest ever black cotton, with a Jackal embroidered on the front, with grey inlay and the Radavist script text on the back. The construction is super solid and the embroidery is impeccable. When the sun’s rays bake this fabric it looks awesome (see below.)

-100% Cotton Twill
– Unstructured cotton body
– One size fits all, adjustable with nylon webbing strap and plastic closure
– Made in the USA

$48 + Shipping ($5 domestic, $12 international). These will ship on Thursday and Friday of this week. SOLD OUT!

Introducing the Radavist x Parker Dusseau ColdBlack® Shirt

Introducing the Radavist x Parker Dusseau ColdBlack® Shirt

Over the years, I’ve really begun to embrace the plain clothes ride. Rather than put on a kit every time I ride, these days I’ll just wear normal shorts and a shirt. A few months back, I began talking with Parker Dusseau about making a lightweight, black button-up shirt with mobility details like shoulder gussets and a good amount of stretch. I wear mostly all-black everything, and believe it or not, it’s hard to find a shirt like this that you can ride in all afternoon and still look sharp when you’re done. It also had to be made in the USA! Introducing the ColdBlack Radavist edition.

Perfect for the road, the trail, downtown and everywhere in between, this shirt has everything for the active cyclist starting with Coldblack, the UV protective and thermo regulating proprietary technology from Switzerland’s legendary Schoeller fabric mill. Details like a Powermesh Active Back, ultrablack reflective collar and cuffs and unbreakable rubber buttons round out this essential piece for the hot Spring and Summer months ahead.

Details:
Schoeller stretch technical cotton featuring Coldblack Technology
Coldblack provides 30 SPF UV protection, reducing heat build up in dark fabrics.
Powermesh Action Back
Unbreakable Rubber Buttons! Seriously. I tried.
Ultrablack Reflective Collar and Cuff Details
Tailored fit, consult the sizing chart. I wear a Large in most kits, shirts and the large fits me.
MSRP: $158

SOLD OUT! The Black on Black Radavist Jackal Fleece

SOLD OUT! The Black on Black Radavist Jackal Fleece

We’re all really stoked on these fleeces. Not just because they’re printed gloss black on a black fabric, but because they’re made in Los Angeles by our friends at Team Dream Team. Yep. That’s right, these aren’t re-branded fleeces, they’re designed, cut and sewn in LA to Team Dream’s specifications. We wanted our first fleece (crazy right?) to be simple, featuring the Radavist’s spirit animal, a Jackal with a long tail that it’s always tripping and falling on. Weird, I know.

The lightweight fabric fits like a glove, so if you like yours baggier than normal, order a size up. For what it’s worth, I wear a large shirt, a large jersey and most of my cut and sew clothing are size large- I wear a size large in these too.

Available now, in a limited release for $45 plus $10 domestic shipping or $18 international. Shipping is a lot because fleeces weigh a lot. Scoop up one below and many thanks to Mark from Vacation Vinyl for modeling.

The Radavist National Forest Sign Socks

The Radavist National Forest Sign Socks

Ok, so our shipping department mis-counted socks, so we have some small and mediums left. No promises on how long they’ll last, but I thought I’d put them in stock… Scoop up a pair below! Also, all orders have shipped, so you should see them soon!

We love our Angeles National Forest here in LA and the sign leading up to the Angeles Crest along Highway 2 has become an icon for road and MTB rides. These socks were inspired from the simple color palette found across the nation in National Forests, resulting in a split tone sock with minimal branding. The colors are “natural” and “brown”, with the Radavist script on the underside of the foot. Made by DeFeet in North Carolina from their AirEater double cuff model, these socks will last through the seasons and provide the compression and comfort you’ve come to expect from the brand.

In stock now for $16 plus shipping ($5 Domestic and $12 International.) Before you ask, we cannot combine your order with the fleeces we posted earlier in the week. A completely different fulfillment center is shipping these orders. We wanted to launch these items separately to give everyone a chance to purchase. Again, thanks for the support!

SOLD OUT The Radavist Croakies

Croakies. Often associated with frat boys, boat shoes and Sperry Top-Sider shoes, have a functionality for cycling as well. For road, touring, cross or whatever, if you use polarized lenses, sometimes looking at your phone or rangefinder camera can be problematic. Or if you want to take them off while climbing but don’t wanna tuck them away just yet. Drop them down around your neck and lettem hang…

Made in the USA by Croakies, in two designs (the Jackal by Land and the Radavist by Kyler Martz), both for $28 shipped worldwide. Yes, you get two pairs per order.

Sold out: Fear is the Mind Killer Top Cap

“I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.”

Frank Herbert’s Dune carries a lot of weight over here. This classic SciFi novel features the Litany Against Fear, a Bene Gesserit mantra used to overcome self-doubt. This parallels with cycling, as we face challenges every day on the bike.

For 1 1/8″ stems, illustrated by KLCTVE, made by KustomCaps and in stock now. Pick one up for $15 shipped worldwide.

The cat’s, err, the jackal‘s out of the bag. The Radavist is relocating to Los Angeles thanks to a few opportunities that presented themselves recently. It’s a big change, but a welcomed one and I think you’ll all agree, California has it going on.

SOLD OUT: New Jerseys

SOLD OUT: New Jerseys

Wardrobes over here are pretty subdued. Black jeans, black shirts, black boots. If color does get splashed in, it’ll usually be either camo, green, tan or grey. You know, the simple tones that make life interesting. While we’ve got nothing against bright, vibrant kit designs, they’re just not our thing. That’s why sticking to solid tones and hues makes sense to us.

Introducing two new Radavist jerseys and a short sleeve rendition of the collaboration jersey with Tracko. These include: a Battleship Grey Jersey with black accents, a “Sprinters” OD Green jersey with discharge tan accents and a Blackened Splinter Camo jersey, marked with Tracko and the Radavist insignia in white. Mix them with your favorite black bibs, or the Radavist bibs. Either way, they’ll look great.

Each jersey is made by hand in Los Angeles by Endo Customs and is in stock now with a retail of $125 plus shipping. These are sold out. Thanks for your support. We’ll be shipping them this week.

SOLD OUT! The Radavist Trail Friends Purist Bottle Package – Texas

Red n yellow kill a fellow… As a youngster who spent a lot of time in the woods of North Carolina hunting down snakes, this saying resonated throughout my pre-pubescent mind. As an adult who still spends a lot of time in the woods, when I see a colorful banded snake, it’s the first thing I recollect. While the coral snake rarely claims any victims, barring the occasional drunken fool, these snakes are the most venomous in North America and in many regards, the most beautiful. The Texas Coral Snake is a completely different subspecies from its other North American family. The main difference is, it tends to wear more black…

Paired with this colorful bottle is a Opuntia cactus, commonly called the Prickly Pear, it too can leave you with some puncture wounds if you’re not careful. My run-ins with these plants occur more on the dinner plate that tire sidewall however. Nopales is a standard-issue taco option here in Texas, so order it up next time you’re ’round these parts. I wouldn’t dare eat our slithering friend the Texas Coral Snake.

Artwork by Kyler Martz, inspired by nature.

Pick up a pair of these 22oz Purist bottles (that’s one Coral Snake and one Prickly Pear. Sorry, we’re mixing it up here) for $18.00 plus shipping ($5 domestic $14 international). Please limit one order per customer. If you place two orders, I’ll cancel the second order! SORRY SOLD OUT!

The Radavist Discharged Kit Pre-Order Opens Tomorrow

After all the requests, I’ve decided to open up the Radavist Discharged Kit for pre-order tomorrow. It’ll run for only a week and should be delivered by the beginning of July. You’ll be able to order bibs, arm warmers and the jersey all separately, or all together. Hopefully this quells everyone’s need for an all-black kit and as always, thanks for the support.

The pre-order will open tomorrow at noon CST and will be open all week, until Monday, the 15th.

Should We Do a Pre-Order for the Radavist Discharged Kit?

A lot of people have asked for this kit to be restocked and I’m considering opening a pre-order to ensure everyone’s particularities can be addressed. This way, if you prefer a large jersey and medium bib, that can happen. So here’s a query to the readers. Would you like a week long pre-order with an end of June, early July delivery?

Let us know in the comments. Andre’s been waiting to ship more kits!

SOLD OUT: the Radavist Berserkir Bottles

SOLD OUT: the Radavist Berserkir Bottles

Inspired 10% by Clerks and 90% by Odin’s animalistic warriors….

One of my favorite stories from Norse Mythology relates to nature’s impact on man. Scandanavian warriors would often wear the skin of a bear or a wolf before entering battle, resulting in the spirit of the animal possessing them in battle. As Odin’s personal army the Berserkir were known for ferocity as well as loyalty as they fought for the pack leader. In fact the Old Norse word berserkir, literally translates to “bear-shirt” and was soon called “going berserk.”

Venturing into the woods, be it during an expedition, or just an everyday ride, we too can find ourselves transformed. Every time we push ourselves on the bike, or subsequently find ourselves pushed off the bike, we grow – #RubberSideUp. This introspective experience not only shapes us as riders, but it continues to strengthen our relationship with nature. If anything deserves respect, it’s the woods.

This image of the Berserkir, or Úlfhéðnar, is further empowered by the Norse protection symbol, the Vegvísir, which is a direction sign that enables you to stay the course without being lost. Something extremely beneficial to cyclists.

Drawn by Kyler Martz and made in the US of A by Specialized. Two bottles sell for $27 shipped or $37 shipped Internationally. This is a PAIR of bottles.

Sorry! SOLD OUT!

SOLD OUT: The Radavist Discharged Kit

SOLD OUT: The Radavist Discharged Kit

No matter how crazy kit designs have become, we like things simple over here. Much like the Radavist’s t-shirts, the Discharged Kit is a black base with a “discharge-like” off-white graphic print. Black because it won’t slow grease, dirt or other stains and because, well, why would you wear anything else?

Clean and simple, these kits come with a pair of bibs, a jersey, two sets of arm warmers that can be mix and matched between “the Radavist”, “Rubber Side Up” (looks great upside down), the Algiz array and Raidō array.

Made by Endo Customs in Los Angeles and in stock now for $320. sold out.

Today Marks the 1-Year Anniversary of the Radavist

One year ago, I flipped the switch on PiNP, forming the Radavist and in that time, the team over here has exceeded my expectations. While there are numerous people who make this site tick, I really wanted to thank you, the readers for visiting, commenting and yes, even critiquing how things are rolling over here. Without you, none of this would be possible.

While it’s cheesy to project where a blog can or will go, I’m confident that we’ll continue to deliver stories, rides, photos and products to you in a capacity that will leave you stoked to ride.

Here’s to many more years of rad atavism.
