Our summer drop shirts sold out in only a few hours and the same for a few of our sock designs. For that, we can’t thank you enough, so we decided to restock those products plus a lot more. In lieu of the black Eternal Jackal shirt, we chose a Cobalt blue shirt with a bone-white natural ink. The Chamisa and tan Shred Lightly shirt designs are also back in stock.

We also added grey Voile straps, more Yucca and Cloud socks, and finally, those beautiful Buffalo Turquoise Ringtail desert hats!

We also restocked our Nalgene bottles and a few other cycling bottle designs, including the OGOD Radavist shorties, Golden Sunrise Roadrunner, and Big Deserted bottles. Everything is in stock now and shipping this week in our new eco-friendly packaging materials from EcoEnclose.

John Watson picks up this series we began with Ryan Wilson during the pandemic. Consider this a shout out to our favorite small businesses in the cycling industry. Here are some of John’s personal picks.

Small businesses are the foundation of the outdoor industry and many have been seriously impacted by the pandemic over the last couple of months. While money is understandably tight for a significant portion of people, if you do have the means and are dreaming up your next bike trip or local ride, I wanted to offer up a few suggestions for gear that I believe is worthy of investing in from some of my favorite small businesses in the industry.

The Cub House opened its doors at their 2510 Mission St address in San Marino two years ago and this weekend, they’re celebrating with a Ringtail Pop-Up and rides both Saturday and Sunday. If you’re in the area, make sure you swing by!

I must admit, there’s nothing I use more on my springtime rides than my Ringtail jacket. This year, Ringtail took their Breeze Breaker 2.0 jacket and Breezer 2.0 vest and rendered them in two new colors; sage and navy blue. Both of these colors are in stock now at Ringtail.

Along with a new color of their Breeze Breaker jacket, Ringtail recently launched their new everyday merino t-shirt and a new color combination in the 3S Merino Jersey. Head to the Ringtail Webshop now to see all the offerings.

The cats at Ringtail have been working on a special project with Cordura over the past few months: a tie dye Breeze Blocker jacket. Each jacket is hand dyed so there are no two alike. These lightweight Cordura jackets stuff into their own pocket and are small enough to be stashed under your saddle. They’re sewn in California and retail for $140. Best of all, they’re in stock now so head to Ringtail to see more information.

“We’re heading to the Cub House in Pasadena, Saturday April 30th to check out the local riding and to hang out with the Ringtail and Team Dream Crew! We’ll be converging on theCub House at 8:30 AM and leaving at 9 AM to go for a 35-ish mile ride across mixed terrain along Highway 2 in the Angeles National Forest. Look for about 3,000 feet of climbing. The ride will be doable on a road bike, just bring flat repair! At noon, we’ll be meeting back up at the Cub House to drink beverages, eat food, hang out, talk bikes, and talk Stinner. Come join us for the ride and mingle, just the ride, or just the shop talk afterwards, we’d love to have you!”

I’d suggest a cross bike, but it’s been done on a road bike before. I’ll be there, so come along and join in on the fun!

Tomorrow, at 5pm is the grand opening of the Cub House, Team Dream and Ringtail‘s flagship store in South Pasadena. To kick the celebration off early, we’re doing a group ride up to Mt. Disappointment that leaves the shop at 12 noon and makes it back in time for the festivities.

On site, 100 Tacos will be there, serving tacos and Bicycle Coffee LA will be supplying coffee. Roll through to check out the shop and stay for the good times.

3…2…1… take-off! Too bad this ship didn’t land as smoothly as it was jettisoned. Tandems are fun, both to ride and to photograph with this photo in particular getting a lot of requests for the calendar. Ask and you shall receive.

Ringtail have just re-upped stock on their Breeze Breaker jacket and Breezer vest, as well as introducing their Block Breaker jacket. The two jackets are made from solid, ultra light nylon while the Breezer Vest is perforated on the back allowing for ventilation during those cool autumn mornings. This run has slightly larger wrist openings at the sleeves to make putting them on and taking them off a bit easier.

Newton’s law of universal gravitation states that any two bodies on a tandem must be extra careful while embracing Rubber Side Up! Kyle and Robert sent the Salsa Powderkeg off a rock lip during a Ringtail photoshoot this morning and things didn’t go so well. Ok, the air photo is rad but they landed a bit off-axis and took a mean spill.

Robert suffered minor dirt rash but Kyle’s pretty banged up. Needless to say it was a long pedal back down the trail…
