Mission Bay Crit 2013

Photos by Mike Martin

Crihs‘ Mission Bay Crit was a huge success in SF and Mike Martin from MASH headed out to capture the night. I love low-light, moody photography like this. I’m stoked to hear this event went off smoothly and can’t wait to see more of these go down in SF.

Check out the official race report at MASH.

Charge Presents the Red Bull Hill Chasers

Charge and Red Bull UK are bringing back the Hill Chasers event!

“The UK’s only multi-discipline, uphill sprint race is coming to Scotland for the very first time to settle a long standing battle between bike disciplines. Who will have the stamina and speed to prove that their bike is the fastest on Edinburgh’s most iconic hill?

Red Bull Hill Chasers is a night time uphill eliminator race for all bike disciplines, BMX, Mountain Bike, Road Cycling and Fixed Gear. Taking place on the iconic Grassmarket up Victoria Street, qualifiers are open to 500 cyclists. The fastest 30 riders from this heat will be selected for the main event where they will go up against 10 of the UK’s most elite cycling legends in a bid to be crowned Red Bull Hill Chasers 2013 ‘King of the Hill’”

Reportage

Andrew Franciosa at the 2013 Cyclocross World Championships

Unfortunately, my bourbon-drinking ass didn’t make it to the 2013 UCI Cyclocross World Championships in Louisville this year. I know, I know. I should have gone but truth be told, I don’t think I would have survived the trip to my Distillery Mecca. Instead, I asked my good friend and past-contributor, Andrew Franciosa to submit a Guest Gallery showcasing the snowy mayhem. I still wish I could have attended the event but I’ll give my liver a break until NAHBS this month!
