When it comes to creating fantasy landscapes for bands like Sleep, High On Fire, Earth, Windhand, and Weedeater, there’s none like Arik Roper. His iconic imagery has graced some of the finest metal LPs, from “Blessed Black Wings” to “The Bees Made Honey in the Lion’s Skull.”

We pinged Arik earlier this spring to design a graphic for us to incorporate onto some merch items and it’s finally available via our webshop. Let’s look at this extremely limited edition drop in detail below…

100 Copies’ posters are true to form crowd-pleasers. The latest print is entitled “Shine On” features a cyclist and the cyclist’s shadow or reflection on the road, forming a mirror image. With no right side up, the cyclist could be riding when it’s dark or when it’s light. You can hang it either way.

Look, we’re huge Dune fans over here and we’re patiently awaiting the movie. The interstitial space between bikes and sci-fi is rather small, so when something like this pops up, we have to share it. Bryan Buswell designed this insane stillsuit art with a Shai-Hulud cresting in the background for Ultradynamico’s Mars tires. Could this be the greatest bicycle tire ad of the 21st century?

Our friends at WTFBX have another poster for sale, showcasing the history of WTF bike riders in history. Tessa Hull’s illustrated timeline is a 150-year story of the bicycle as a tool for social activism.

Using a combination of historical information and hand-drawn illustrations, Tessa Hulls dives into the feminist history of cycling and shines a light on a cohort of adventurers who took to their bikes to knock down gender barriers. Tessa’s article and illustrated timeline are featured in the first issue of the Get Rad Be Radical publication which is also available on our store.

Proceeds will directly support the operating costs for WTFBX programs.

Here’s the latest poster from 100 Copies, entitled Going Solo:

“This artwork celebrates the sweet solitude of cycling solo. That feeling when your bike, body and mind flow at one with your surroundings. The figure of a lone cyclist is created using a single, continuous brush stroke, similar to the one-stroke technique used in Chinese calligraphy”

A while back, I posted an “X-Ray Pinarello” graphic from an artist named Paul Perret. Almost two years later and now all five of these unique cycling prints are available for sale. I’ve never seen anything like this in terms of cycling posters, so head over to Paul’s webshop to see the rest.
