Steel Magazine 05

The newest issue of Steel Magazine will be available mid-March and I like what I see.

Things to look for in Steel 05: Death Spray Custom, English Two wheel specialist custom artist, french artist «Lucky Left Hand» Steven Burke, American filmmaker Lucas Brunelle, photographs of london rider Greg Falski, an exploration in the  world of vintage cycling, analysis of the design and the commuter wear, the «the Way I Roll» videos by Peter Sutherland, or the mountain rides of the French RocknRollin team members, not to mention the fashion series by Jean-Pacôme Dedieu, Ronan Mérot, Pierre Dal Corso and Fred Margueron, as well as still life of François Jorez, Louis David Najar and Pierre Mahieu.

Bunyan Velo Issue 01, an online publication dedicated to bike camping, touring, expeditions and general badassery is now online for free. I don’t have time to read it at the moment but the photos alone are worth the flip through.

Check it out above and you’ll want to go full-screen with this one.

Fixed Mag 14

Fixed Mag 14 is on the way March 10th. Here’s the cover and a quick run down of what to expect:

“ssue #14’s cover photograph was shot by Ian G. C. White who is a photographer based in Switzerland.
The article in Fixed #14 featuring Ian’s epic photographs is written by Patrick Seabase.
You might be remember the iconic cover photograph of Fixed issue #8 which was also shot by Ian.

It’s our first cover that does not feature a rider too.

We are also featuring:

Brother Cycles – Interview
Look Out – Jamie Kirkham
Bike Check – Thomas Poignant
Bike Check – Steve Tortorelli
Look Out – John Taki
and much more…

Fixed #14 launches on the 10th of March 2013!”

The Albion is Online for Free

This is pretty rad. I may not be the biggest BMX’r but I can appreciate great photos and journalism. Here’s the scoop from the Albion:

“For the next nine weeks we shall be publishing a back issue online every Monday morning, starting today with The Albion Issue 1.

To view The Albion Issue 1 on a tablet or smartphone, you can download the 51mb PDF file here. [WiFi connection recommended].

To give precedence to our print publication and subscribers, all future issues of our UK and North American editions will be published online two months after their print release date. To all those who purchased an Issue 1 PDF download a full refund is available.

By publishing The Albion online for free we hope to expand our readership by reaching out to scenes further afield where the magazine is not readily available, so that we can now offer a free magazine to riders around the world.

Thanks,

The Albion”
