Our friends at Mission Workshop have re-launched their in-house line of cycling apparel, Acre, with a new lyrca kit collection using innovative materials like Dyneema and Quattro to up the ante in kit design. Rapha and artist Geoff McFetridge have long admired each other and this week, they made their admiration formal with an entire capsule collection, complete with socks, jerseys, base layers, musettes, and more, designed by Geoff himself. As a skater kid, I personally have admired Geoff’s ability to document culture through his ambiguous figures, and in recent years, his work has popped up everywhere. In a different look, Café du Cycliste took to California for their latest lookbook, entitled “Toile de Jouy.” Shooting cycling apparel is not easy but Benedict Campbell did a great job on this shoot. See the lookbook at CdC.

So, you think your cycling kit collection is out of hand?

PedalED, makers of Japanese and Italian cycling apparel have launched a robust women’s collection, just in time for summer. The collection features everything from base layers to jackets, socks and caps, all featuring PedalED’s pristine detailing and color palettes. Be sure to check this out, if you’re looking for something new. The women’s collection is live at PedalED.

Team Too Late teamed up with 100 Tacos, the bicycle-powered, vegan taco pop-up cart on a kit, which is now available for pre-order. These are made by Endo Customs in Los Angeles. You can see the bibs, jersey and vest at Team Too Late.

This whole project looks incredible and I love Chas’ explanation of the process.

“I had toyed with the idea of creating a kit for years, but I only work in analog, hand drawing at full scale, so the digital aspect of kit design always halted my efforts. Then Bobby from Endo Customs in LA reach out with a solution. He printed out the kit template full size and sent it my way, after 4 weeks, 11 paint pens, untold jammers and countless hours I sent back the template covered in my art. Here you have a hand drawn kit, expertly rendered into print by Endo customs! I don’t even remember all the little things hidden in this kit, surprises of stoke for years to come!”
