Necronomicog Kits

So yesterday, I rode the dragon toward the crimson eye and opened up Illustrator to finally design the Necronomicog jersey that everyone’s been bugging me about. Since posting a few teasers up on Instagram, I’ve gotten a ton of emails asking for more details. So here you go.

As it stands now, Endo will be making me a sample kit to wear. Once I’m 100% sold on the design, I’ll open up a pre-order. This will be the standard pre-order with a pre-season lead time. The main difference is, I’ll ONLY have it open for a week, to ensure it doesn’t take too long to produce. This will take place in exactly two weeks, so put some money aside. YES you will be able to order just the jersey too.

In the next few weeks, there will be a series of product drops, coinciding with my new Webshop and PiNP v2.2. Expect some rad, Made in the USA products, including wool jerseys, collaborations, the introduction to the Purple Label goods and a few other surprises. Regarding the kit, don’t worry, I’ll give everyone plenty of time to prepare for the pre-order. It won’t be like my stickers…

Search and State: Grey S1-A Riding Jersey

After their black S1-A riding jersey was such a hit, the guys at Search and State branched out into another tone: grey. These high-tech, lightweight jerseys are well worth their price tag. Up until it got super hot here in Texas, I was wearing mine every day. This new lighter tone should allow for year-round riding, even in the hottest of climates. These are the only cycling jerseys made by skilled hands in NYC. Check out my product review of the S1-A jersey here.

Tenspeed Hero’s New Jerseys

Tenspeed Hero’s New Jerseys

What a great jerseys and what a great back-story from the Tenspeed Hero team:

“When Jonathan Hero was a young lad in California he listened to Reggae + Dancehall + Dub as much as he watched bike races, which was ALL THE TIME! Saving up some dough he trotted off to Jamaica to attend Reggae Sunsplash. Though his stories of this trip are worth a post on its own, the one thing all the Heroes borrow from his solo journey to Jamaica was the expression “Soon Come, Soon Come.”

We ordered this jersey a bit late in the season but we were still hoping for an early May delivery. Well early May has turned to the late days of June. Around Hero Headquarters when someone asks about its arrival we just try to relax like we are in Montego bay and quietly say “Soon Come, Soon Come.” Well it is here and we are so excited! News for you, we are contacting people on the reserve list and are shipping jerseys. We also managed to get Nalini to print an extra 20 Jerseys for the store. So far, report from several Heroes is that the fit is pretty close to Rapha (high praise indeed!).”

Endo Customs

Reportage

Endo Customs

Over the past year, the LA-based cycling apparel designers and manufacturers, Endo Customs have gotten a lot of recognition. Personally, I first heard of them via the Golden Saddle Cyclery team. Kyle was adamant about using a local manufacturer to make their kits and they were a perfect match.

While I was in LA, I swung through their shop to check it out with Kelli, who is working on a women’s bib short. Being able to design and manufacture in house by-passes the annoying lead-times you get with overseas manufacturing. Their fabric is sourced from Italy and assembled in house, after graphics are heat-transfered on.

Endo has continued to reach out to the community, sponsoring races, teams and shops. With each new client, they gain more knowledge and through the process, they have established great PR&D relationships, which will lead to new products down the road. I was amazed at how much they packed into their 1,500′ square foot facilities… and yes, I have a kit coming down the pipeline, just in time for cross season.
