I tell ya what, it’s been a real honor to see so many of my photographs inspire artists to render those vignettes in their own hand style. Jason Pawley dropped this beautiful drawing of Bailey sending his basket bike (again) on his Instagram this morning and it was the first thing I saw when I got out of bed. Denis Carrier, aka L’ermitage designed this Paul Touring Canti camp stove as a fun illustration and Paul is asking the question:

If we made a camp stove out of Touring Canti Brakes like this, what would be a clever name? Hell, let’s make it interesting, whoever’s clever name gets the most likes, we’ll send ya a PAUL bottle opener.

It’s no secret we’re fans of the desert here at the Radavist and so we really wanted to give the 2020 Swift Campout product design a shoutout due to the spectacular illustration work of artist Skyler Elzy. This desert landscape with the Swift fox just melts our hearts.

Cyclists make great subjects for portrait illustrations, especially when it’s with their bike. Artist Dean Liebau has illustrated many of the faces seen here on the Radavist, including this drawing of Ethan Goodwin. Check out the photo he based it on at our Ruta Del Jefe coverage from 2019. The other day, I found myself flipping back through Jerry’s work, and sent him a message letting him know how much I liked his stuff – and he offered up a high-res desktop wallpaper to pass on to our readers here.

Artist Chris McNally, like many of us have a long withstanding love for Eddy Merckx, his legacy and his bicycles. Maybe not his modern machines, but rather the years of classic racing. Specically, Faema and Molteni.

As part of a giant undertaking, Chris is working on a new watercolor painting project: a bike shop of life experiences both fiction and non-fiction. Inside this gem of a idea will be bikes he’s owned and bikes he’s yet to own. Case in point: a Molteni Merckx…

There’s more to come from this unique undertaking, but for now let’s just appreciate the detail he put into this classic race steed.

@Ben.Scruton on Instagram has unknowingly provided a prime piece of Merckx Mondays with this Molteni team car illustration. If you don’t follow him on Instagram already, you should check it out. Nicely done, Ben!
