FYXO’s Melburn Roobaix has hit the lucky 13th year and to commemorate this annual fun ride, these limited edition snapback hats were made, featuring a Black Flag flip with the upside down 13 on the bill. Head to FYXO to pick one up and if you’re attending the Roobaix, have fun out there!

There are many, talented framebuilders in Australia and the Handmade Bicycle Show Australia looks to expose their best work to the masses. The show returns this year, on April 27th-29th, showcasing the builders and products born in Australia. As an example, FYXO recently showcased this Prova Cycles Molti all-road bike, which in itself, has many details, but I can’t get over how good King Cages look in black and that Busyman saddle treatment! Mick Peel of Busyman Bicycles does some incredible custom leather work, applying his art to saddles, bar tape, saddle bags, and a whole lot more. Working with Australian builder KUMO Cycles, where Keith Marshall does some incredible work of his own, Mick put together this beauty for himself. See more at FYXO!

It seems like the Vanilla Workshop might bring back the Speedvagen Track bikes in their Ready Made program. I know the track bike’s heyday might be waning but surely people would race these at events like the Red Hook Crit or their local velodrome. “Made in Australia” is not something you see on many of the bikes here on the Radavist, but when that slogan does pop-up, It’s always worth it. Mark from Prova Cycles and Andy White from FYXO met after Andy lurked on the #29+ hashtag on Instagram, landing him on Mark’s own MTB, from there, the two began chatting and Andy began documenting some of his bikes, the latest being this Razzo Road… See more at FYXO!

“After a decade of pounding the pavé during the coldest and wettest month of the year – the Tour de Melburn is a summery twist on the cobbled classic – Melburn Roobaix. Inspired by the big bike race in France, FYXO is injecting all the fun and festive spirit – without the racing. Just like the other Tour, riders will ride in teams of two covering all points of the compass, using their brains in the pursuit of glory. Teams accumulate time bonuses for finding Melburn landmarks, far and wide, high and low. The teams with the most time bonuses up their sleeves will be awarded limited edition Yellow, Green and Polka Dot jerseys.

A Grandest Prize will be raffled to any team that makes it to the finish by days end just for enjoying the day with us – whether they make it first or last, with a musette full of points or none. The inaugural year is one not to be missed.

The Melburn Roobaix is a ride that takes riders all over the city of Melbourne, Australia, seeking out cobbled back-alleys and streets. It’s a “fun ride” with no real competitive edge to it and finishes with a big after party at an old velodrome. Here’s a nice video recap from this year’s event and see the full race report at FYXO!

Madisons are one of the most exhilarating track races to watch. Recently, the Austral / Australian Madison Championships took place in Melbourne, prompting Andy from FYXO to venture out in the hot, hot, hot summer heat. Clearly the outside temperature wasn’t the only thing on fire that day. Those BT bikes!
