Fyxation’s Sparta All-Road Fork

I’m sure I enjoy posting forks like this as much as you enjoy seeing new options. Fyxation throws their hat into the ring of the carbon fork with rack mounts circuit, offering up a 1 1/8″, 12mm thru-axle, flat mount disc fork. The Sparta will be available in a tapered option later on in Fall of 2017, but for now, this 1 1/8″ option is available. See more at Fyxation.

Fyxation: Quiver Frameset Now Available

When it really comes down to it, the way bicycles are characterized or described is a matter of a few degrees and centimeters. Finding that middle ground as far as angles, clearances and other key measurements isn’t easy. The Fyxation Quiver tries on the “jack of all trades, master of none” hat for size. Now, don’t read that as negative commentary, because you’d be surprised how similar the bikes in your own personal quiver are… Removable derailleur, cable stops and other design details make this a contender for the all-rounder market.

Fyxation Asks: What’s in Your Quiver?

Fyxation Asks: What’s in Your Quiver?

“In early 2012 when we started to work on the Quiver our goal was to introduce a frameset that was affordable, versatile and flexible enough that with a few different parts you could build your ideal bike. Whether you need an aggressive commuter, a comfortable city bike or an affordable frameset for cyclocross season, we feel the Quiver is the frameset for you.

Relaxed road geo, plenty of room for large tires and fenders plus Fyxation’s unique combination of removable derailleur hanger and cable stops make this frame just as at home as a single speed, internal or 1×10 build. Designed with horizontal dropouts, removable derailleur hanger and removable cable stops, the Quiver can be run as an ultra clean single speed or as a 2×10 build. We also made the rear wheel spacing 132.5 to accommodate a road hub or internal gear hub. Want to run a large tire? The Quiver can take up to 700x47c. Need fenders or a rack? The Quiver comes equipped with dual eyelets in the rear dropout and fender eyelet on the fork.

The Quiver is in production now and will be in stock at Fyxation dealers in mid April.”

Fyxation: Sponsored Photographer Contest

Fyxation is extending their sponsorship reach to potential photographers. Here are some details as to how you could land it:

“Photos of cyclists and their gear have the ability to inspire us, but behind every great rider or gear photo is a talented photographer. We wanted to put together a contest for the person behind the lens.  This is a chance for a select group of photographers to showcase their talents, win cash and gear and become a sponsored photographer for Fyxation.

How do I enter? Submit a portfolio of your work and a bio to info@fyxation.com by July 4th. From these entries, we will select up to 10 finalists that will be eligible to compete for over $1000 worth of cash and gear.

How do I win? Once you are selected as a finalist, we’ll send you out free Fyxation gear for you to photograph or use in a video. You’ll then have 2 weeks to post your work to our Facebook page. Winners will be announced on July 18th.

What do I win?
1st place: $300 in cash / $150 in gear / Fyxation sponsorship
2nd place: $150 in cash / $150 in gear / Fyxation sponsorship

All finalists: You get to keep the gear we send out for photos. (As a finalist, you are also eligible for ongoing product sponsorship)”

Fyxation 2012 Video

Here’s a new video from Fyxation:

“The video is entirely composed of still photographs shot over two days in the studio and one day on the streets by Peter Diantoni of COG Magazine. Meticulous set up and lighting was required with the hundreds of component changes in the studio, and challenges of lighting and camera position on a moving rider. Special thanks to Milwaukee Bicycle Co. and State Bicycle Co. for donating bikes for the shoot; Ben’s Cycle for providing studio space; and rider Dan Mueller.”

Great photos Pete! As always!
