Fox Figures Out How to Lighten Its Transfer Dropper Posts by 25% Without Drillium
Back in the day, if you were a racer who was looking to lighten up your bike, you broke out a drill press. The process of drilling holes in various bike components is called drillium and long gone are those days. Now companies simply engineer lighter components without drilling holes to lighten them up. Easier said than done though!
At 128 grams (25%!) lighter than the regular Transfer posts, the new Transfer SL (super light) is the lightest mainstream dropper post on the market. With lever options for flat bars, drop bars, and 1x and 2x drivetrains, these new Transfer SL posts are at home on all bikes, from 27.2mm clamp to 31.6mm.
See more at Fox! … and how cool is that drillium post they made for this ad?

PNW Component’s Loam Dropper is Customizable and Retails for $199
There are a lot of dropper posts on the market, yet very few that retail for $199, and hardly any that allow for travel adjustment, or customizable color hits. The PNW Components Loam dropper does all that, allowing for up to 30mm of travel adjustment in 5mm increments. Why is that important? It ensures you get the most travel from your dropper based on your sizing. For instance, if your bike can fit a 200mm travel dropper but your resultant saddle height is 5mm too high, this allows you to lower the dropper height and still gain the full travel to your seat tube collar. On top of this nifty advancement, PNW Components offers colored collar bands, allowing you to customize a small color hit.
Head to PNW Components for more!

DT Swiss D 232 Alloy Dropper Cuts Price
People balked at the price of the DT Swiss carbon D 232 dropper and well, we called it. The tech of the D 232 is now available as an alloy option. At 416g, compared to the D 232 One with a 369g claimed weight and a $566 price tag, the D 232 is the alloy alternative with a more affordable pricepoint of $369.
While marketed towards XC racing, these inverted droppers look to be a great option for those tired of hassling with saddle packs and dropper posts since the stanchion is inverted. DT Swiss calls this “Upside Drop”. To top it off, the D 232 is fully mechanical and offers 60mm of travel, which would be perfect for a loaded bike, across all size runs. Intrigued? Yes.
