The Radavist

… for the Melburn Roobaix. That means I’ll be shooting the event and bikes, as well as doing some rides. I’ll be fairly busy while I’m in OZ, but am looking forward to the event.

Today, after landing at the airport, FYXO picked me up and we dropped off a customer’s vintage De Rosa road bike. Coincidentally, this will be ridden at the Roobaix. While Andy was shooting photos in a cobbled alleyway, I took a few of him doing his thing.

This is totally random but the bike looks great! See a few more below.

This 1974 De Rosa was in need of some love. Turns out, Patebury‘s leatherwork makes classic Italian race bikes look even nicer. But we all know, it takes a great photographer to make a great bike look exceptional. Go see more at FYXO!

Sorry for the lack of updates today, I was out doing reconnoissance in the Angeles Forest. That and Tracko doesn’t have wifi at his bachelor pad. Speaking of no wifi, I doubt the De Rosa factory has it either.

It’s really hard to not post just about every photo Keith Anderson puts up on his Flickr, but it’s impossible to not post this one in particular. He recently acquired a De Rosa, fit for restoration and knowing Keith’s work, it’ll be over the top. I really loved the wilting paint shown here though.

As you might have guessed, the Reader’s Rides posts are hard to stay on top of. I get so many emails from people showing me their latest rides and I can’t conceivably post them all (yet). For now, I’m relying on people like Guilherme who posses a great eye for composition, as well as a Beautiful Bicycle. His De Rosa SLX Professional caught my eye. Perhaps it’ll catch yours too.
