Gripper Bar Tape, produced by the good folks at GREPP, is an adhesive-free, durable, and washable handlebar tape. The latest video from Topo Designs features Johnny at Brave New Wheel with an instructional video on how to wrap handlebars using Campandgoslow’s Diamondback bar tape.

Wolf Tooth’s component and accessory line has grown considerably over the years. Their latest product is this Supple Lite bar tape, which is designed to provide comfort and grip for long days in the saddle on rough terrain. It’s tacky in the rain, soft when it’s dry, and creates a uniform appearance on your bars when wrapped and finished correctly. At 2.5mm thick and 40mm wide, it is half as thick and just as wide as Wolf Tooth’s Supple Bar Tape.

Lizard Skins’ newest colors might be the icing on the cake for your next build. The bar tape and grip company now has olive drab and chocolate brown as two new colors in their DSP Bar Tape V2 lineup, in the 1.8mm, 2.5mm, and 3.2mm thicknesses, starting at $39.99. Wolf Tooth first launched its grip lineup last year and this year, the Supple Bar Tape is the brand’s first-ever bar tape. This stuff is extra thick, extra wide, extra soft, and extra tacky. Newbaums cloth bar tape is our favorite over here but I’ll be the first to admit that unless you wrap it twice, it can be a bit thin for off-road bicycles. So when they announced their new cushioned bar tape this week, we had to order a few rolls to try them out. With NAHBS approaching – this weekend! – one of my favorite features to photograph are the unique touches that make the bikes of the show, show bikes. While not everyone can afford a crazy titanium fatbike with bends for days, or a carbon road bike that weighs only 12 lbs, that doesn’t mean we can’t accessorize our bikes to look like a balleur show bike.

Leh Cycling Goods is a leathersmith, based in Texas, that makes custom saddles, bar tape, and other cycling accessories, but what makes Leh different from the others is his ready-made stock, including leather-clad saddles! I’ve been using two of Leh’s products on my Speedvagen OD OG-1 and they really bring this bike’s whole package up a few notches… Check out more below.

Leh Cycling Goods makes leather cycling products in Austin, TX, including a selection of bar tapes. Naturally, the design I gravitated to was the camo pattern. The guys at Manual for Speed have just restocked their popular Space Tape in three colors: black, pink and turquoise. Basically, something for everyone. Except you people who roll with all-white bar tape. Also restocked is the newest permutation of the Speed Tee. This round, leave the bright colors behind. It’s time for all-black!

The work of Ana Benaroya is unique to say the least. We’ve seen her custom Cinelli track bike and her socks already, but her Cyclops Bar Tape is by far my favorite in Cinelli’s artist collaboration series yet. See more at the Winged Store. Don’t forget to see her cycling cap as well!

Back during NAHBS this bar tape was featured on the LOW MK1 road bike and now it’s made its way to the Cadence web shop.

The Motion Bar Tape uses Dustin Klein’s design, is padded, with anti-slip coating and comes with reflective Cadence bar end plugs. Head over to Cadence for more information.

For 2015, Cinelli has a few new tape models hitting the shelves, along with two key collaborations with Mash and Red Hook Crit. Both the Chubby and Fluo tapes look great, but you can’t go wrong with the Mash Parallax design either! All of these new tape models are currently in stock at the Cinelli Winged Store. ESI has been making grips in the good ol’ US of A since 1999. Their silicone grips are my absolute favorite for a MTB bar – easy on, easy off with a four to six month lifespan. They’re tacky in the rain and offer plenty of grip through sweaty hands or gloves. While just about everyone will have nothing but positive things to say about the ESI grips, I’d never heard of their RCT Bar Tape before.

Dubbed RCT for “road, cross, triathlon”, this bar tape is re-usable since silicon is tacky enough without the use of adhesive. You can pull it hard and get it a bit thinner than it’s shown here, but I actually like the thickness, especially on a cross bike that gets ridden on trails. It’s easy to clean and doesn’t crawl around on the bars like other tapes do.

So far, I’ve had it for a few weeks and it’s taken its share of spills without showing any wear or tear. Time will tell how long it’ll last, or if it will replace my other favorite bar tapes – Fizik and Lizard Skin – but for now, I’m excited to have ESI products on my MTB and cross bikes.

Am I crazy to think that “#ATMO” bar tape would also sell really well?

Mick Peel at Busyman really did an incredible job on this Fizik Vesta saddle and accessories. This bird is flying to Portland to make its way on a Cielo. Hopefully we’ll see photos of the complete bike!
