To coincide with a story that Kyle wrote for TokyoBike’s blog, the MiniVelo featured is being auctioned off today through February 16th with all the proceeds going to RadShare, an organization that aims to bring cycling accessibility and safety to kids. This is a great bike, being auctioned off for a great cause, so spend a few minutes soaking this one in!

The Embacher Collection is an esoteric ensemble of 203 unique bicycles. From the classic Molteni Merckx to a ’47 Alex Signer, and even one of those weird ice-skating bikes, this cross-section of cycle design is sure to make even the most obsessive collector’s heart skip a cog.
The auction officially opens on May 19th, but you can preview the collection at Dorotheum now.
This looks so good. Here’s the scoop:
“Specialized Bicycles has been lucky to serve the greater cycling community by striving to produce products that and inspire to improve riders lives for 40 years. In the year of our 40th anniversary we simply want to say ‘thank you’ to the riders and give back to one of the best bicycle charities, World Bicycle Relief (WBR).”
Why is it that the raddest shoes are always the ones never slated for public consumption? Case in point: the Eloquence of Movement Project that Fi’zi:k is promoting.
A little backstory: 2014 is David Millar’s final season of professional racing. He wants to go out with a bang, raising money for a charity and exploring his career as a pro through a series of conceptual cycling shoes.
These shoes were designed by VCRC Style Council in partnership with Fi’zi:k and will be auctioned off for the Small Steps Project.
Each pair was hand made in Italy and are completely insane – like the Milano Sanremo editions pictured above.

Check out this charity Mosaic is throwing for the National Inclusion Project:
Mosaic Cycles is teaming up with Shimano, Fox Racing Shocks, fi’zi:k, Continental Bicycle Tires, Crank Brothers, and Lizard Skins to create a 27.5” wheel mountain bike that will benefit The National Inclusion Project. The Bike will be on display at the North American Handmade Bicycle Show in Charlotte North Carolina March 14th with the show through the The Pro’s Closet. 100% of the proceeds raised will go to The National Inclusion Project an organization that was founded in 2003 with the mission of working with and supporting groups across the country that open doors for ALL children to learn, live, and play together.
The idea for a charity bike came about soon after NAHBS 2013. “While working for fi’zi:k I frequently visited Aaron Barcheck and Kevin Batchelor at Mosaic and the thought of making a bike for a charity came up in conversation and they were 100% behind the idea.” Said Joe Anderson. “When I mentioned my son had recently been diagnosed with Autism we decided to select a beneficiary that assisted children with disabilities all over the country, The National Inclusion Project fit the bill.” Anderson continued “Every company I contacted about contributing to this project said yes without hesitation, all the parts, time, and labor were donated.”
