Cafe Du Cycliste’s Solange Riding Flannel

It’s getting cooler and for those living in more extreme winter weather zones, you might be scrambling to look for a new, warm riding jacket. Cafe Du Cycliste’s Solange riding flannel is more than just a buffalo plaid shirt. It’s a fleece jersey made from recycled yarn with three cargo pockets that’s designed to keep you warm in the coldest riding conditions. These made in the EU jerseys are available for men and women in a variety of colors and ship for free. Check out more info and photos of the Solange at Cafe Du Cycliste.

7mesh x Kate Zessel Artist Series

Canadian artist Kate Zessel spends a lot of time in the mountains. When she’s not skiing or hiking with her dogs, you can find her riding her bike throughout British Columbia, seeking inspiration for the bold and intricate artwork she creates at her home studio in Pemberton.

This season 7Mesh has teamed up with Kate to create a capsule collection interwoven with her graphical impressions of the trails, peaks, and valleys surrounding Squamish along the Sea to Sky Corridor.

The Radavist Spring.Summer Drop is Coming Next Week

First, we’d like to thank y’all for all the support over the years. We’re getting a lot of messages asking when we’re restocking short sleeve shirts, bottles, and other items. Well, two weeks ago we re-upped some of our classic bottles, Desert hats, Dynaplugs, and more but we didn’t make an announcement. Next week, we’re dropping three shirts, new decals, bottles, and more as part of our Spring.Summer drop. With delays in manufacturing, we’ll be trickling out more over the course of the summer but the big restock is coming next week, so stay tuned.

Search and State: Midweight Flannel

Search and State is known for high-quality, well-designed, domestically-manufactured apparel for on and off the bike. Their shorts are some of my personal favorites as are their jerseys. Their latest product is just in time for autumn. The Midweight Flannel is made from Japanese-milled, yarn-dyed cotton, that’s not too heavy and not too light. This gives it durability and wearability on and off the bike.

Weight: These are midweight flannels. Not too light. Not too heavy. Just right.
Care: As easy as it gets.
Fit: True to Size / Athletic.

Rippin’ Ass in Ripton & Co’s Action Jorts: A Review

Rippin’ Ass in Ripton & Co’s Action Jorts: A Review

I’m not going to lie, when I first saw the post about Ripton & Co I thought it was a joke, and if it wasn’t a joke why have I missed the business opportunity of the decade sitting right in front of my face. At a startling $89 for a pair boutique cut off jorts, I was stunned. I was shortly connected to the Jort Lord, Elliot Wilkinson-Ray, who asked what size I wanted and if I wanted the shorts hemmed or cut off, I chose to go with cut off to go for the full jort experience.

The Radavist Authors’ Favorite Small Business Products: John Watson

John Watson picks up this series we began with Ryan Wilson during the pandemic. Consider this a shout out to our favorite small businesses in the cycling industry. Here are some of John’s personal picks.

Small businesses are the foundation of the outdoor industry and many have been seriously impacted by the pandemic over the last couple of months. While money is understandably tight for a significant portion of people, if you do have the means and are dreaming up your next bike trip or local ride, I wanted to offer up a few suggestions for gear that I believe is worthy of investing in from some of my favorite small businesses in the industry.

ORNOT’s Long Sleeve Trail Shirt

I’ve been wearing the short sleeve version of this shirt for a few weeks now and my only complaint is it wasn’t a long sleeve! I love long sleeve shirts for summer riding since the material wicks sweat and keeps the sun off my arms. Luckily, today ORNOT announced the long sleeve trail shirt, which is made in the USA, made from recycled yarn, is climate neutral, and gives 1% for the planet. These shirts are in stock now for $60. Head to ORNOT to see more.
