The All-City Cycles Log Lady Los Angeles Ride Details!

Tomorrow (or today, depending on when you read this!), Golden Saddle and the Radavist are doing a group ride to kick off the launch of the All-City Log Lady SSMTB. The ride will be MTB and Cyclocross friendly! Just bring knobby tires.

We’ll be meeting at the parking lot at the corner of Windsor Ave and Ventura St in Pasadena at 4PM. From there, we’ll pedal up Fern Truck Trail to what’s referred to as “Brown Mtn Saddle.” From there, we’ll regroup and watch the sunset. Bring your own beverage, you’ll get thirsty after that climb. From there, we’ll all cruise back downhill under a full moon.

Lights and helmet are a must! Come one, come all!!! This is going to be AMAZING!

Introducing the All-City Log Lady

The All-City Log Lady is a 27.5 singlespeed hardtail MTB with clearance for a 2.8″ tire and yes, it’s an homage to one of the best shows of all time, Twin Peaks. I’ve been riding one, Kyle’s been riding one and Parker crashed one into a boulder last week (sorry, Jeff). Ouch. Bottom line: the Log Lady is a lotta fun!

All-City’s got a new kit in their catalog, an homage to a classic Merckx jersey. These kits are made by Pactimo from their Ascent Air 2.0 jersey and Ascent Vector Pro bibs with a retail of $105 for the jersey and $119 for the bibs.

This kit is in QBP’s catalog now, which means there’s no pre-order or wait times. Just holler at your local All-City dealer and see more photos and information at All-City.

Kyle’s Fifth Anniversary All-City Big Block Singlespeed

Reportage

Kyle’s Fifth Anniversary All-City Big Block Singlespeed

All-City began as an urban cycling brand, with the Big Block being their flagship model. Over the years, the brand has expanded from track bikes to touring bikes, all with one thing in mind: speedy transport around and out of the city. In a lot of ways, All-City’s catalog grew with their customers. People that began with track bikes picked up road bikes and cross bikes eventually. A few years back, they celebrated their Big Block with a fifth anniversary model, painted in a pearlescent silver to white fade.

Kyle has been sitting on this frame for a while. He was finally prompted to build it up as a singlespeed for himself as well as a floor model for Golden Saddle Cyclery. This build in particular features an elegant Grand Bois fillet stem, those classy TRP Levers, Gran Cru brakes, a Campagnolo chainring with a White Industry freewheel and those new All-City Sheriff Star Hubs.

Because the geometry is true to form track, this bike zips around, regardless to how chill the build looks…

Merckx Mondays

Omar is a dear friend. Someone I trust with a straight razor and sharp scissors. He owns Vinny’s Barber Shop in Los Angeles and apparently has great style both on and off the bike. Which makes for a perfect Merckx Mondays entry. Check out Omar and his All City Mr. Pink below!

For All Over Your City and More: Testing the All-City Mr. Pink Road

This bike should need no introduction to the readers of this site. It’s All-City’s flagship road model, made from Columbus Zona tubing and available this year in a classic throwback magenta and pink paint job. The Mr. Pink is one of the best steel road bikes on the market. It’s affordable and capable with the only limitations being those which you set yourself.

So what drew me to review this beaut? For the first time since this bike’s launch, I felt drawn to it in more than just an aesthetic attraction. All-City as a brand has hit the point now where they’re improving on their current catalog piecemeal, rather than focusing on launching entirely new models. At least that’s my observation and the Mr. Pink got some much-needed upgrades.

Day Dreamin’

I’m really excited about this review. The All-City Mr. Pink has been on my “must” list for some time now and to finally get a lot of miles and a lot of climbing in on one has been highly enjoyable. It’s with a heavy heart that I have to send this bike back today, but the sunset photos this evening are looking great.

Stay tuned this week for more!

With another successful Saddledrive under their belt, the team at All-City have unveiled their new paint designs for 2016 on their popular platforms with the favorite (in terms of social media clatter) being the new Mr. Pink road bike. Now with an English threaded bottom bracket, a replaceable derailleur hanger, still designed to fit a nice plump tire, fenders and other essential accoutrement, the Mr. Pink is a great all-rounder road bike

Its new paint is reminiscent of the old Eddy Merckx Telekom paint scheme, giving the bike an attitude like the racing frames from the early 90’s. Fit with Sram Rival, built from Columbus Zona and either race or ride-ready, the Mr. Pink is one of All-City’s most popular bikes for good reason.

Available now for pre-order at your local All-City dealer and read up more at All-City!
