The clean lines of a modern touring bike are hard to resist and for this week’s Readers’ Rides, we look at Jouko‘s Brick Lane Bikes Hitchhiker build. These frames are capable beauties, with a solid Columbus Cromor tubeset spec. Check out more details of this classy and timeless build below.
Jouko built his for 650b wheels, equipping a 2×9 special Gruppo of new-old-stock-Suntour, Campagnolo, and Shimano components all playing nicely together with the magic of old Suntour friction shifters on the downtube, with gutted Campagnolo STI brake levers.
His favorite components of the build are the racks, old Made in USA Blackburn MTN Racks.
The bike is his commuter and light tourer, yet the Carradice bag is adorned with a few patches from his bike tours in Iceland and the Lofoten islands.
