Ultra Distance Scholarship X Stayer Cycles Prize Draw

Did you catch that amazing copper finish Stayer Cycles OMG hardtail in today’s Bespoked gallery? Continue reading below for the details of the Ultra Distance Scholarship X Stayer Cycles Prize Draw.

The Ultra Distance Scholarship (UDS) is a new nonprofit in the UK working to increase diversity and representation within the niche world of ultra-distance cycling and racing. They provide comprehensive support packages, including a custom bicycle, bikepacking bags, cycling kit, gear, and tech, coaching, mentorship, and entry into a prominent ultra race, to three recipients a year. More than the extensive and exciting support, is the strong community that is emerging as a result. The UDS are currently running a prize draw fundraiser courtesy of one of their sponsors, Stayer Cycles, to help them continue to do their important work. There are three Stayer OMG mountain bikes up for prize draw now until November 18th, 2022. There is a small, medium, and a large up for grabs and they are each wonderfully unique and one-of-a-kind. All funds raised go back into the running and expansion of the scholarship.

All money raised through this campaign will help fund the Ultra Distance Scholarship’s work this year and hopefully into the next! The major expenses of the scholarship are: coaching fees, mentorship fees, bike fitting fees, administration fees, and additional componentry, equipment and gear not currently covered by sponsors. The UDS would also love to pay some awesome folks working to make cycling more inclusive, to do some vital consultation work with them, eventually carving out a job position for someone qualified to lead the UDS to further glory (ideally POC-led).

With your support you’ll be helping the Ultra Distance Scholarship continue to provide amazing opportunities for folks who might not normally participate in these types of events. Please help them keep alive an initiative whose work is not done yet (but one day hopes to be!).

CDC-GT – Gravel World Championships

For the Café du Cycliste Gravel Team this World Championship marked the culmination of a first season of excellence. Our warriors have all qualified with art, heart and humility. They descended into the arena during the selection rounds, fought with all the commitment and bravery that we know of them to obtain the key to unlock this Venetian final.

Racing for a good part of the course alongside the Frenchwoman who will be crowned the first champion of the world in the discipline, Annabel Fisher abandons due to a puncture at the 101st kilometer. Danielle Larson, Lydia Iglesias Bares, Maria Ögn Guðmundsdóttir will give the best of themselves in their respective categories, and the podium passes just under the nose of Lydia, the Spanish rider of Team Café du Cycliste.
