Vittoria Opens New Carbon-Neutral Factory

Italian tire brand Vittoria announced a carbon-neutral facility in Thailand, dedicated to the production of cotton tubular and clincher bicycle tires. Based in Bangkok, Thailand, the site represents a key part of the brand’s growth and investment plans and brings to an end more than a year of construction. The €20 million investment will expand the Vittoria Tyres Thailand (VTT) factory premises from 36,000 to 51,000 square meters in the Bangpoo industrial district, near the current VTT headquarters. Within these premises, a 10,000-square-meter plant will employ approximately 200 people.

This building will also give birth to Vittoria’s most sustainable tire ever made, scheduled for release into the gravel segment in spring 2024. The new “green” tire will be Vittoria’s first bicycle tire made from renewable and recycled materials. With this project, Vittoria aims to revolutionize its bicycle tire production by relying less on fossil-based and non-renewable materials.

This zip up piece of kit features an insulated front panel, constructed of a three-layer, windproof face, with lightweight insulation and a permeable mesh interior to perfectly balance active performance and protection on cooler weather rides.

The sleeves also include windstopper panels while the rear fabric is high wicking and ribbed to ensure all around excellent temperature control. The jacket features a contrasting zip along with three cargo pockets and a valuables pocket to give enough capacity for longer rides.
