RAR ATL Fundraiser and Party
RAR ATL (the Atlanta chapter of Radical Adventure Riders) is having a fundraiser and their annual festival party on August 27th + 28th!
RAR Atlanta (@rar.atlanta) is one of 11 chapters of the Radical Adventure Riders (RAR) established to enhance gender inclusivity and racial equity in the bicycle and outdoor adventure scene for all fitness and experience levels. RAR does this by providing connection, education, resources, and support for the community. RAR Atlanta is having a fundraiser and festival very soon, and they want folks to join in the fun.
Please join RAR for our annual festival at The Junction ATL on Sunday, August 28th!
RIDE: 10 – 11:30 AM: WTF riders only!
RAR ATL will meet up between 10:00 am, and 10:30 am for intros and coffee from Cafexito Coffeeshop, locate next door to the Junction ATL. At 10:30, we’ll depart on our bikes and ride around the neighborhood for 8 miles. This ride is social, no drop, for trans, non-binary, femme, and women riders only.
RAR’s aim is to roll back to the Junction by 12 pm. They’ll have a ride lead, sweep, and mechanic present. The ride will be social pace of approximately 6-8 mph, and the route will have minimal elevation. Route to be shared closer to the date.
PARTY: 12 – 3 PM: All are welcome!
RAR will have food, beverages, music, giveaways, bike valet and pop ups from our partners! Patagonia ATL, The Spindle ATL, Loose Nuts Cycles, Propel ATL, Midweek Roll, and Sew Like Jehn will have tables and all sorts of swag! This event is for everyone, including cis men.
Come for a fun kickback and opportunity to meet the leadership team, win some cool stuff, and chill over great music and community.

Farewell Handlebar Roll $130
New from Santa Fe-based Farewell is the Handlebar Roll, a minimal bikepacking bag for your flat or riser bars, yet this bag can fit between wide drops, but you’d probably want to pack it before you install it. The Handlebar Roll attaches to yer handlebars via (2) voile straps. Attaches to yer frame or steerer via webbing strap with a cam lock and strap keeper. The bag is seam-sealed and uses extra TUFF XPAC fabric for XTREME weatherproofing. Opens on either side for easier access. Features 2 webbing straps to stow tent poles and whatnot. Those same straps can be used to secure an accessory bag yet to be released. Comes with 4 foam spacers to accommodate tricky setups, help with cable management and ensure an extra secure attachment.

The latest film in the series capturing the exploits of the Café du Cycliste Gravel Team takes us to Iceland and The Rift. The focus of the film is María Ögn Guðmundsdóttir, an Icelandic bike racing legend who has worked tirelessly to encourage other women to enjoy two-wheeled adventures, whilst also winning 20 Icelandic national championships across multiple racing disciplines.
