MKS BM-7 Re-Issue $37.91

Heralded by the founders of mountain biking, right next to the Suntour MP-1000 pedals, the MKS BM-7 was a catalog spec part for early Ritchey MOUNTAINBIKES as well as early Joe Breeze and Fisher bikes. These pedals withstood the abuse the Repack and Crested Butte riders dished out and for 2022, MKS has re-issued these classic platform pedals in a variety of colors and a 26 grams savings in construction. If you have a vintage project from the early 1980s but don’t want to fork out $400 for a vintage pedal set, these are for you. Available at your local MKS dealers or sellers like Blue Lug in Japan.

Kit designs can get lost in the field of repetitive lycra designs and we wanted to give Pedal Mafia a shout-out for doing such a good job with this drop. Roll on over to Pedal Mafia for more!

Velo Orange Teases Utility Bars and Rack

Designed for commuting and touring, the Velo Orange Utility Bars are a one-piece handlebar and bag rack. Here are some details:

  • The front of the handlebar has threaded inserts all the way through the handlebar to bolt the rack to the bar.
  • The mounts are spaced for water bottle cages and if you aren’t using the rack, you could put bottles on the front of your bar.
  • The rack has multiple configurations to really dial in how you want to fit the bag/backpack/lunch bag/whatever you want to strap down.
  • Flip it up or down depending on the load.
  • The rack also has an eyelet for a front light in both orientations.

Santa Cruz Revamps the 5010

The 5010 is not just “the little bike” of the Santa Cruz Bicycles range, and its new updates put it in a league of its own. With a 29er up front, a 27.5 in the rear, the new 5010 fully embraces the MX (mixed wheel) trend, features a downtube storage area dubbed the “Glove Box,” a new “Sag Window” allowing you to tune the shock through a window in the rear swingarm, and a refined geometry, tuned for the MX wheel sizes.

Rapha Films Presents | Tour De Force

It’s been 33 years since women last stood on the startline at the Tour de France. This year, they returned to show the race just what it’s been missing. With a powerful squad packed full of character, EF Education-TIBCO-SVB had six spots to fill. We followed the team behind the scenes throughout their journey to the Champs-Elysees and beyond, experiencing the ups and downs, tears and triumphs that surround the biggest race in the world.

Gravel Ride des 13 Terrils

The 4th edition of the Gravel Ride des 13 Terrils took place a few weeks ago in Liège.

Around 100 participants started from La Cyclerie to connect 13 slag heaps around the city and ride a mix of pretty much everything you can ride on a bike, from stairs to cobbles, 50 shades of gravel, from tarmac to loose soil, from endless gravel double tracks to dog shit filled alleys, from post industrial landscapes to the nicest coutryside, from forest singletrack to cyclepaths along the river. This year’s atmosphere was exceptional, good beers, awesome burgers and great vibes all day long.
