Inside Line Equipment Mini Messenger and Travel Pack $85/$380

Do y’all have a bag addiction like we do? One of our favorite shops, Inside Line Equipment just dropped a few bags we’d like to share with our readership. The Mini Messenger is a just what it sounds like: a small bike messenger-style sling bag. This design is multifunctional; making it an ideal pack for your next hike, bike ride, or weekend trip. It can be worn around the waist or over the shoulder, and has a padded and breathable mesh back for all day comfort.

The meat of this drop though is the extremely well designed Travel Pack. Based on ILE’s unique Race Day zipper closure, the Travel Pack takes the panel loading organization further, and makes for the perfect carry on. Tactful pocketing offers organization, without dictating how you pack. Durable water resistant YKK zippers with custom CNC 6061 Aluminum pull-toggles allow for side entry.

Tiny Bubbly EZY Superior $148

Sim Works took its popular Bubbly pedals and shrunk them down a bit to make the Tiny Bubbly pedal. Then, utilizing MKS’ EZY system, converted the design to a quick-release pedal. Why would you want quick release pedals? Well, if you travel by train in Japan, you have to take your bike partially apart. Here in the US, you might want to remove them while transporting your bike or if you’re into bikerafting, or sometimes your apartment might have minimal storage space and removing pedals can keep them from scratching other bikes. For whatever the reason may be, the Ezy system has been utilized for some time now by MKS and it’s now made its way into Sim Works’ lineup.

Wilde Cardinal Bar $130

Wilde Bikes worked with BMX brand S&M on its Cardinal cross-riser bar. These bars are perfect for your cruiser, mtb, or tourer, for when you need a little more rise. They offer a heads-up riding position and plenty of leverage for control.

The finish is a powder coat in Transparent Gold, Transparent Black, or Clear. They look rad and show off the heat marks from the fabrication process. As clear coats are porous your bars will patina underneath the powder coat.

The clamp diameter is 22.2 so you will need shims if you’re planning on using a 25.4, 26.0 or 31.8 clamp stem. We recommend utilizing a stem with at least four bolts in the faceplate, you can generate a lot of leverage with these and anything less risks the bars rotating.

SQLab Innerbarends

If you’ve ever done any sort of ultra-endurance races or prefer long days out on your mountain bike, then you know how quickly your hands and wrists can fatigue on long climbs or fire road traverses.

Bar ends date back to the beginnings of mountain bikes and are normally installed on the ends of the handlebar. This was a very good idea from an ergonomic standpoint. Over time, as straight handlebars faded away, and raised handlebars became more common, barends disappeared again.

Since handlebars have now become flat and significantly wider, bar ends are once again useful. However, SQLab has a unique approach to bar ends in that they prefer to install them inside to keep them from hooking on things like trees and rocks, hence the somewhat contradicting name Innerbarends!

As a result, Innerbarends are a new, innovative evolution of the original bar ends, but with an unprecedented safety aspect. Despite the altered handle position, the brake lever is always available. They’re intended to be a resting place during long climbs or flat terrain, where you can give your hands a break.
