Dropped Chain: Goat’s Flip Flop Pedals

You may recall an article Morgan posted about a fella named Goat. No? It’s been a while, so if you haven’t read that, you should check it out. He was the designer of the Crust Bikes Scapegoat frame and rode flip flop pedals. The other day, Crust Bikes posted up a video on its blog, Dropped Chain showcasing Goat’s flip-flop pedal hack. It’s simply too good to not share on this Friday morning, so enjoy!

Loving the Austin, TX vibes in here, Matt!

Silca Celebrates 10 Years with a Sale

A decade in the cycling industry is a noteworthy accomplishment and to offer a peer behind the curtain, Silca is commemorating 10 years of making products with a big sale. Roll on over to see the savings. I know everyone has sale fatigue right now so even if you don’t want to check out the sale, we highly encourage you to read this blog post on Silca’s site about the brand’s beginnings. We really feel like it’s important to see and know the people who are a part of this wonderful industry and Josh laid it all out, including photos of the original Silca HQ, his home!

Check out what ten years at Silca looks like and remember, we have our Group Ride Giveaway for December this month: a FREE Silca SuperPista Ultimate pump!

Escape Collective’s 50 of the Most Influential People in American Cycling Includes John

Our resident bike dork and founder was included in Escape Collective’s 50 Influential People in American Cycling list!

“22. John Watson: The creator of The Radavist and tremendous reach in terms of curating style, being the ‘tastemaker’ for alternative cycling, and opening people’s eyes to different types of riding.”

We love seeing independent cycling media supporting each other. Kudos, team!

Radical Origins

When Freeride mountainbikers jumped fences to illegally ride Laguna Canyon and the Irvine Ranch, it was an illegal adrenaline rush. No one imagined they would fuel an industry, inspire a culture, and birth the extraordinary trail network we hike and ride today.

90s MTB Masters

A blast from the past with a sicko edito from the back streets are Madrid in the early 90s. Check it out for a mix of street and urban park riding… Plus, RA the Rugged Man ( @3:30 ) cameos!

Race Director

Francesco Gozio has lived in the Finale Outdoor Region just short of a decade. He knows the vast network of trails like the back of his hand and is able to stitch tracks together for Enduro, E-Enduro, and Marathon courses that challenge the best riders in the world.

Playing host to Enduro and E-Enduro World Cups is no small feat – from course ideation and planning many months in advance to organizing all the people and every detail needed for each event to go off without a hitch.

Finale is rich with MTB history and is arguably one of the most iconic stops on the EDR calendar each year. But it takes the expertise of locals like Gozio to make it all happen.
