Ride With GPS QuickNav

The Ride with GPS mobile app just rolled out a powerful new way to get from point A to point B. It’s called QuickNav. It’s incredibly simple, effective, and is poised to redefine everyday cycling navigation. From quick trips to the grocery store to the daily commute, simply plug your destination into the Search bar or long-press anywhere on the map – QuickNav automatically generates a route to your endpoint including estimated time to your destination.

Should you stray off course, QuickNav automatically updates your routing in real time based on your current position. Change your plans? Simply tap the Search icon or long-press anywhere to update your destination. Your route and estimated trip time will auto-adjust accordingly.

To use this new feature, simply update your RideWithGPS app on your phone!

Tout Terrain Announces North American Sales

Tout Terrain has officially launched the sale of its bikes to customers in North America. Award-winning touring, bikepacking, gravel and commuter bikes designed and assembled in Germany are now also available in all US states through direct sales.

For almost two decades, Tout Terrain has stood for the development and assembly of high-quality bicycles and trailers in Germany. With a team of true bike enthusiasts and driven by the motivation to build bikes that accomplish any goal, the brand sets the standard for quality and style. Tout Terrain North America is headquartered in Tucson, Arizona.

A few of Tout Terrain’s products we find interesting and are looking forward to testing in the future include:

Scrambler Xplore GT One of only a few dropbar Pinion bikes available. It uses custom TRP shift levers and a special shift unit, rather than electronic shifting, to achieve a sub-$6,000 price point. The Scrambler also features Tout Terrain’s carbon fork with replaceable inserts.

Mule Trailer While not available in the US quite yet, this trailer uses a suspended single-wheel for hauling gear. It can carry up to 100 liters on a variety of terrain from pavement to singletrack.

Cinq Plug6 Plus Made to fit in a steerer tube and is charged via a dynamo hub, this battery also offers pass-through charging from a USB-C port on the top cap so can charge a phone, GPS, or additional battery pack. This will still allow the use of dynamo light and, at 195g, is pretty lightweight.

Bikes or Death: Kurt Refsnider, Continental Divide Trail by Bike

Kurt Refsnider just became one of only a handful of people to have ever successfully traversed the Continental Divide Trail by bike. The trail is 3,300 miles long and spans the length of the United States along the Continental Divide. In many ways it’s similar to the popular Great Divide Mountain Bike Route. However, there is one big distinction, the CTS is primarily singletrack. And much of it is unmaintained, overgrown, and sometimes nonexistent trails.
