Do You Use a Frame Pump?
I’ve been on this vintage kick recently, as a result of what I’m calling tech fatigue and it has me thinking about vintage “tech” that has rolled over successfully into modern times. Frame pumps are a great example of this. I have one on my Firefly and one on my Merckx. Both Silca pumps, but one is from the 80s with a Campy head and the other is a modern Silca that has done me well for the past 7 years. After lots of use, I really feel like they’re one of the most successful designs in cycling but am always curious why more people don’t use them? What are your thoughts? – John
