Bike thieves suck. Colin got his last Sklar road bike stolen last year here in Los Angeles. It was one of those moments where we all dropped what we were doing and rode all over the neighborhood looking for it. While that event was less than ideal, the resulting bike is what is featured here on the Radavist today.
Adam Sklar began welding titanium bikes last year. Starting with mountain bikes, he’s now moved onto offering titanium bikes of all sorts. This disc road bike is the first blasted finish frame he’s built. The blasting process leaves the titanium naked, raw, and in a matte finish. To top the build off, Colin and Adam worked with a Bozeman anodizing shop to take the polished White Industries parts and ano them olive drab, much like those King 40th parts from a few years back.
Built with the new SRAM AXS Force, those White parts, ENVE’s G Series rims, black powdercoated Ti King Cages from Myth Cycles, a Sklar Ti seatpost, and Sim Works bits, you’ve got a damn dream bike that rolls on pure Panaracer rubber. Colin, don’t let this one out of your sight!
