Man, the latest from Yonder Journal is amazing. Earlier this year, the gang – sorry, I wasn’t able to make this one – headed to the Southern US to embark on an infamous journey: along the trail of tears.

While civilization has sept and crept in since settlement era, a majority of this landscape is still very much alive as it was in the early 1800’s. It was a dark time in our Nation’s history, yet it served as a fantastic stage for a Brovet.

This is one race that I’ve always wanted to attend. The 2014 Red Hook Crit Barcelona looked like a blast from all the Instagram accounts who were in attendance and Father Tu’s photos on Flickr are some of the best that have come across my radar.

How can a pair of photographers with journalistic tendencies win a race? Well they did. In my opinion anyway. Check out the final stage from the USAPC at MFS.

As someone who is constantly looking at how other videographers and photographers capture cycling, the Make it Happen video caught my eye. Sent to me by George Marshall of the Albion this project is worth checking out, in its full glory.

Over 14 months Greg travelled the globe with a hand picked group of the world’s best riders. They all shared one simple idea – explore, ride, document. I always enjoy seeing articles and photos like this, and I’m sure you feel the same. Kinoko Cycles visited the Tokyo School of Cycle Design and the article looks great:

“During my last trip to Japan I was invited by Shin Ichi Konno of Cherubim Cycles to visit the Tokyo School of Cycle Design where he teaches twice weekly. You would assume with something as common as a bicycle, a object which exists in every village and town across the globe and requires very specific skills to design and manufacture, that colleges teaching cycle design would be common. But this is not the case.”

As both a “journalist” and a consumer, I get really excited when I see something new coming from a brand, especially one with a history like Blackburn. In recent months, I’ve gotten to know the brand a bit better, both through their Meet the Rangers program and from a product perspective. I’ve seen a few of their forthcoming products, many of which I think you’ll be stoked on but before those roll out, I thought you’d appreciate a little Q&A with the brand.

To give the readers of the Radavist some insight into Blackburn’s modus operandi, I reached out to brand manager, Robin Sansom for an interview.

There’s a lot of weirdness going on over at Manual for Speed’s documentation of the US Pro Challenge in Colorado. I’m talking pro cyclists in their underwear holding podium flowers kinda weirdness. As well as bike racing. Lots of bike racing.

A few years back, I posted about these shoes, which I still have in my possession (obviously). While they’re no longer NOS – after a few rides on the track bike – they are in still pristine condition. As a matter of face, I have all three of these shoes in the “Related” sidebar, all sitting in my office now after living in storage containers for years. I’m not sure what sparked this particular Merckx Mondays, other than seeing Golden Saddle Cyclery using their Merckx Adidas shoe box to hold limes when I was in LA last week…

Nothing wrong with that!

Tyler from SRAM, Lyle from Mission Workshop / Acre, Ty from Golden Saddle and Ross Measures were in the French Alps with Adrian Marcoux for a few days of straight up ripping (and getting lost).
