eeBrakes Announce El Tornado Limited Edition Colorway

Look, I know rim brakes aren’t exactly in vogue anymore but if you happen to have a rim brake road bike and are looking to upgrade your brakes, then the eeBrakes are a prime candidate. The latest limited edition eeBrakes were just announced today in El Tornado blue and black. These brakes are available in direct mount and standard mount, come with carbon and standard brake pads and are shipping in July. See all the details at Cane Creek.

eeBrakes Goes Cyan and Magenta

Cyan and magenta are two of the three primary colors and every color can be made from a combination of those three hues. As such, they are very flashy when displayed on their own and that’s what Cane Creek is banking on with the latest rendition of the eeBrakes. Got a rim brake bike you want some added bling on? Look no further… see more at Cane Creek.

Cane Creek’s Newest Limited Colorway eeBrake – El Real

Since taking over the manufacturing and distribution of the eeBrake in 2016, Cane Creek has done up the brakes with fancy limited edition colorways a total of six times, with this month’s announcement being the latest and greatest. The El Real color scheme features a vibrant violet anodizing mated to the classic jet black caliper. To buy a pair of the eeBrake El Real Edition in regular mount and direct mount versions, you must place your order at your local Cane Creek retailer by September 18, 2019 with expected delivery in November 2019.

eeBrakes: El Rosado Edition Set

Now through September 21st, Cane Creek’s in-house brand eeBrakes – formally eeCycleworks from California – is offering a pink and black, El Rosado limited edition set of these amazing caliper brakes, complete with eeBarKeeps and eeNut preload stem cap. They’re available in regular and direct mount sets and in my experience offer the most tire clearance out of any caliper I’ve used. Plus they look damn good. This kit isn’t cheap at $700, but in my experience with the eeBrakes, they make a rim brake bike stop like a disc brake bike. Check out more at Cane Creek.

Charlie Cunningham’s 2012 Personal 29er: So Many Details

The following post is a labor of love. Hours of tedious work went into not only documenting this bike but writing about it. It is by far the most ambitious story Tasshi Dennis from The Vintage MTB Workshop and John Watson have worked on. Charlie Cunningham was more important to the modern mountain and gravel bike movement than many know. His work spanned over four decades, and the bike you see here today was his personal bike.

Read on for a complete dissection of what has to be the most detailed bicycle ever to grace this humble corner of the internet. We hope you feel the love that was poured into this post…

By Hand is the Way: Cane Creek Components Factory Visit

Just south of Asheville, NC, in the town of Fletcher, is the Cane Creek Cycling Components headquarters. Backed up to the Blue Ridge Mountains, it’s here that they assemble all of their suspension forks, shocks, and brakes by hand and continue to carry the torch of design innovation lit by their predecessor, Dia-Compe USA. Photographer Steve West is back from a factory tour and shares about the Cane Creek process below.
