This year at Grinduro, eight frame builders presented bikes in partnership with Maxxis, Sram/Zipp, Columbus, and Hope Tech. The theme? What is your ideal Grinduro bike? Cody Leuck brought this Plimsoll Buckshot, a Tomac homage hardtail, with unique seat and chain stay yokes…
Grinduro always does such a great job curating the bikes on display at their handmade bike showcase, rounding out long-time builders like Sycip with builders like Plimsoll, a side project by Cody Leuck. This Buckshot is an homage to the Tomac Buckshot frames from the early 2000’s.
Like the Taos and Buckshot frames, this hardtail utilizes a pair of CNC’d stay yokes, the first and most obvious being the seat tube cluster and the second being the chainstay yoke, ensuring tire and chainring clearance on this aluminum frame.
With a SRAM and Hope build kit, this flashy red hardtail nods to the Tomac legacy while updating the geometry to modern riding.
